Flock

I've been using this browser called Flock. It's pretty cool in a bunch of different ways, and of course as usual i was a skeptic. It's supposed to be a web browser that allows you to integrate all of your online personalities into a cohesive experience. It's pretty cool as far as the experience it allows you to keep all kind of tabs of people in your facebook which it seems the most integrated with. It also has a nifty built in RSS reader which can be viewed as part of your home page which is cool. i can see the homepage getting junked up once i get excited about that feature. i just have the fly.paper blog activity in there right now. you can put your "Favorite media" on there, if it's RSS that would be tight but i dunno if there us some video that i want to contemplate every time i open a browser window. It also shows recent facebook activity.

Flock is going to be good for me because i need to market and expose fly.paper on facebook more. It's a good place to create a solid presence. Deviantart is another good place to start a fly.paper presence. as well as flickr which could garner us a following and be a good way to tap into local atlanta currents. Flock has integrated features for all of these web services (except fly.paper or ning social networks).

As a browser Flock is very full featured, it's run off of the mozilla 3 engine and dosen't need much in the way of plugins and handles ajax and python really well. Ido feel thatmy media is being effectively distributed to the websites i want them to be on, which do happen to be the more accessible ones. It also has some cool extensions, like me.dium, which is supposed to allow you to see where other people your "Friends" are online in real time. The most useful thing i have found it for is to find similar webpages and find cool user filtered websites like FixedGearGallery.com

So yeah i am busy making the most of Flock, I'll probably end up writing another blog about it when i find more uses and features.,
